Sweet Apple Pie
There is nothing more homey than apple pie. Equally welcome in the summer and the fall, a beautiful apple pie is the quintessential American dessert. After all no Thanksgiving table or summer BBQ would be complete without at least one apple pie.
Salted Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies
According to my kids, these salted oatmeal chocolate chunk are their favorite cookies, and I’m pretty satisfied with them myself. A caramel flavored brown butter crumb punctuated with chewy oatmeal and two different intensities of gooey chocolate and topped with a crunchy sprinkle of flaky sea salt all make these cookies irresistible.
Rustic Sourdough Bread
In honor of Valentine’s Day, this is my most recent update on my longest love affair: baking with sourdough. This here is my latest, favorite recipe for sourdough bread. I’ve modified ratios, added more whole grains and reduced some waste. I’ve also adjusted baking times and temperatures to what works best right now. I hope that, like me, it will be a match made in heaven for you too.
